Clark & Gotzler, Attorneys at Law, is pleased to announce that Kathleen G. McNeil has joined the firm, furthering their mission of providing employment and HR law with in-house insight.
Prior to joining Clark & Gotzler, Kathleen was an attorney and Managing Partner at Garvey, McNeil & Associates, LLC for nearly two decades.
Throughout her legal career, Kathleen has represented a broad range of employers and employees, including individuals, non-profit and labor organizations and corporations. She has successfully represented clients in a variety of employment law matters, ranging from wage and hour issues to wrongful discharge and employment discrimination claims. She has counseled employers on employee discipline and discharge issues, drafted employment contracts, employee handbooks and restrictive covenants including non-compete, severance and confidentiality agreements.
Kathleen’s prior experience representing employees and labor unions brings an invaluable, diverse perspective to Clark & Gotzler’s employer clients. While working at Garvey, McNeil & Associates, Kathleen also served as General Counsel to Harlem Globetrotters International, Inc. for over ten years. In addition to working closely with the management team to formulate and implement all personnel-related policies, she helped to negotiate and draft player contracts, sports venue agreements and licensing agreements.
“I look forward to applying my diverse employment law and corporate counsel experience in serving the varied needs of Clark & Gotzler’s clients,” McNeil said. “It is a welcome opportunity to rejoin private practice at a firm that provides such a uniquely tailored approach to HR and employment law. On top of that, we have known each other for decades, and already know that our skills complement one another.”
